In December 2017, Chris and Micki tied the knot at Rosewood Pavilion. Their winter wonderland style wedding was truly special and certainly represented their beautiful relationship and all the fun they had! Rosewood loved having this wedding at our venue and we were glad that we were able to make this day all that Chris and Micki wanted! Read all about how they felt about their wedding day at Rosewood.
Why did you choose Rosewood for your wedding?
The location of Rosewood really stole our hearts, from the countryside and woodland ground to the gorgeous tranquil lake. Being keen skiers who love Christmas, we were set on a winter wedding. Rosewood pavilion was the perfect blank canvas that transformed into our winter wonderland. We celebrated in the lakeside lodges for our Christmas ‘mini-moon’ with our families for the week after the wedding day. Altogether, Rosewood was ideal for our special day.
Did you have a theme for your wedding?
Our wedding day pulled together a variety of themes that represented who we are and what we loved as a couple. We did all the decorations, flowers, and set-up ourselves in order to create our perfect ski-theme winter wonderland wedding. This theme united Christmas trees, snowfettis, skis, pheasant feathers, twinkle lights and mulled wine. This winter extravaganza was combined with our love of fun with games such as log and hammer on top of our love of country living that embraced sequin bridesmaids and tweed-laden ushers.
What was the best thing about your wedding day?
Being in a room surrounded by all our closest family and friends was rather special. Our day was filled with moments that we will treasure forever and never forget. In fact, the day was so beautiful and filled with precious moments that we can’t single out one special day. The snowfetti line at the church was good fun and giving our guests a big hug after our ceremony was lovely. Then all o four speeches were comedy gold with everyone in stitches.
Would you change anything about your wedding day?
We can honestly say that our day was perfect. There is nothing we would go back and change. People always give you the advice to take a step back and take in different moments throughout the day, so we possibly didn’t do that enough. However, that was because we were too busy having fun using the shot ski, laughing, dancing, and singing with all of our guests.
Would you recommend Rosewood?
Rosewood Pavilion is a little gem. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made sure our day ran smoothly. We were treated like VIPs rather than just another couple getting married as part of their job. We honestly felt sad saying goodbye to them at the end of the night.
As a final note, we would like to thank Rosewood Pavilion for hosting the best day of our lives. We smiled and laughed all day at our winter wonderland wedding – a Christmas we will remember forever.
